Class 2

Welcome to Class 2!

Hello Class 2,

They are now in Year Two and the top Infant class. We shall be going on an exciting journey this year, learning new information in a creative and engaging way. The work can be challenging but I know they will work hard.

The children need to be reading EVERY day, this promotes a love for reading and also develops their literacy skills. The children love listening to stories in class, predicting what might happen and answering questions about the book. Talking to your child at home about their book is important.

This half term our Topic is Significant People.

We will be learning about Inventors and how they made significant achievements in History.  First, we shall look at the Wright Brothers and how they built the first engine powered plane. Continuing on our air travel journey we will learn about Amelia Earhart, the first female solo pilot and follow her adventures.   As part of our topic we shall be using maps, finding different locations across the world and understanding how planes have changed over time.

Important information.

  • PE is on Tuesday and Thursday.  Beth Tweddle Gymnastic and Liverpool Football Club.
  • Spelling test on Tuesdays.
