Hello everyone! 

 

Summer 2 - Why do so many people go to the Meditteranean for their holidays? 

Geography - This half term we will be exploring the geography question of 'Why do so many people go to the Meditteranean for their holidays?' We will discover what countries make up the Meditteranean, why the climate is so warm there, famous artists and landmarks. 

 

English - In English we will be exploring shape poems before moving onto 'Zeraffa Giraffa' by Diane Hofmeyr. In reading we will be learning about 'The Egyptian Cinderella' by Shirley Climo.  

 

Maths - In maths we will continue to learn about capacity and temperature before moving onto some maths revision and problem solving. 

 

Key information:

  • PE will take place on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Please ensure your child has their correct kit in school. PE kits will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed.
  • Book bags, reading books and diaries must be signed and brought to school daily. Children must also use Reading+ daily to ensure progression in reading.
  • Children's reading books will be changed each Friday.
  • You must provide your school with a water bottle filled with water each day.
