Summer 1 - What did the Ancient Greeks bring to the world?

In history, we will begin by reviewing evidence that shows that the Ancient Greeks were more advanced than Ancient Britons. We will then investigate what the Ancient Greeks introduced that we benefit from today, in particular, democracy and the Olympics. We will learn how the Ancient Greeks were influenced by their gods, and what everyday life was like for Ancient Greeks. Finally, we will focus on the Spartans and Athenians, and identify their main characteristics.

In DT, we will be focusing on Ancient Greek pottery and make our own greek pots.

In English, we will be looking at the text 'Journey ' by Aaron Becker.

In Maths, we will continue developing our knowledge of fractions. Then, moving onto money and time.
