Welcome to RANGERS

Year 3

Please try your best with these activities but I really do appreciate that this is a very different time for us all.

Children thrive on a routine and you could allow them to be in charge of their own routine by letting them select which activities they would like to do before and after lunch. And if the task is proving too tricky, put it aside for  a moment and return to it. Remember I am only a question away on Instagram and have loved seeing some of the fantastic work through this media already.

But mostly remember the MOST IMPORTANT job you have right now is to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

Take care. Missing you all very much heart

Timetable for 4th May

Spring term 2 already! Where does the time go?

This term we will be  using our Geography and History skills as we learn about Greece.

we will think about the human and physical characteristics of the country and why people choose to go there on holiday.

This will then link into the history of Ancient Greece, the gods and the Olympics.

In Science we will be developing our knowledge of how light travels, shadows and shining light through prisms to observe a spectrum.

Swimming is now finished and the children made brilliant progress. We will take up an extra PE session during the week so make sure PE kits are in school all week.

The routine for Homework and spellings will stay the same. Please ensure that you read every night at home with your child, and most importantly, discuss the storyline, plot and characters. Reading diaries need to be signed daily too.

Dates for your diary:

First Forgiveness will be on Saturday, 14th March

You are all welcome to join us for Collective Worship on Wednesday, 11th March at 8:50 am.

This week is Holy Week.

We will share a prayer or a reflection each day on Instagram too.

Welcome back to the Spring Term.

I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and wish you all the best for 2020

This term we will be learning all about volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis!

We will also begin preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion. Our Enrolment Mass will be on January 18th.

Rangers will attend swimming lessons this term. Starting week of 13th January. On Thursday they will need their PE kits and a swimming kit (costume/trunks and a towel). Girls should have their hair tied up on Thursdays please.

Homework will continue to be handed out on Monday. Please return homework books by Friday, ready for new homework to be added. It will consist of spellings and an alternate Maths or English task which complements the learning we do in class.

Reading is an invaluable skill as it opens the doors to accessing all areas of the curriculum. Please read with your child every night and us the reading bookmark to ask questions and talk about what they have read.
