Welcome to Rangers

Year 3 & 4

Welcome back to the Summer term!

This half term we are focusing on the Romans in Britain and learning about life before and after the Roman invasion, Roman entertainment, Roman buildings and engineering and Roman legacy.

In English we are looking at traditional and shape poetry and writing our own poems! We will also be looking at play scripts and dialogue. We are lucky enough to have the opportunity to watch a performance of Romeo and Juliet that will be coming to the school.

In Maths we will continue to develop our understanding of fractions and decimals before looking at measurement and money.

In Science we are understanding the different life processes of living things and what makes something alive.

We celebrated our Year 3 children making their First Forgiveness, last term. It was a beautiful service and all of the children were amazing. We are looking forward to their First Holy Communion this term on Saturday 18th May at 10 am. This is a extremely special and important time in their lives and we are privileged to be able to guide them on their journey.

Reminders for parents:

  • Rangers will be swimming this term so please make sure children have their full swimming kit on a Thursday. Girls should wear socks and have their hair tied up.
  • We have PE on a Thursday morning so children must have full school PE kit.
  • We have a range of after school clubs on a Monday, something to suit everyone!
  • Homework and spellings are due on a Friday and must be completed by every child.
  • Reading is an internal part of your child's learning. Please read with your child every night and sign their reading diary.

Thank you for your continued support.
