Toni Woodhead               CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

I have been a governor at St Augustine's Primary School for four years and I am very honoured to be the Chairperson. I am a retired secondary school teacher and I have found working in a primary school to be very interesting and rewarding. I am proud of this school and I want everyone to know how well this school works and how outstanding the pupils are.

If you need to contact me, please send this in writing to St Augustine's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Conwy Court, Runcorn WA7 2JJ.

Christine Smith               VICE CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

I retired as headteacher of a local Catholic primary school after 40 years of teaching in Runcorn. I was then asked to become a governor of St Augustine's. I have many fond memories of teaching here in the 1980's.  I was delighted to become part of this successful school where polite and confident children thrive in a happy and stimulating environment.

Rob Hughes                          FOUNDATION GOVERNOR

I have been a governor at St Augustine's since 2022. I have had family in Runcorn for many years; and I have been a headteacher in Cheshire for 21 years, until I retired in 2022. I now work for the Diocese of Shrewsbury. I love being a governor at St Augustine's and am so proud of our amazing children and our fantastic staff team!

Michelle Stead                 PARENT GOVERNOR

Having attended St Augustine's School as a child I am pleased to be able to take on the role of parent governor while my children attend. Working within the local community for a charity who promotes social justice and having an interest in how peoples socioeconomic factors can impact their life I have a unique perspective of the factors that can affect future progression. Education is a huge part of a child's development and being a parent governor enables me to encourage positive educational, social and emotional development for the pupils of St Augustine's.

Amy Scott                         STAFF GOVERNOR

I have worked at St Augustine's for over six years and I love being part of our community. I am honoured to work with our amazing children and have loved working across both key stages over the years. I am passionate about teaching and believe that every child deserves the best possible experience of school life. At St Augustine's I hope to create a positive and happy environment for all our children.
