Toni Woodhead               CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

I have been a governor at St Augustine's Primary School for four years and I am very honoured to be the Chairperson. I am a retired secondary school teacher and I have found working in a primary school to be very interesting and rewarding. I am proud of this school and I want everyone to know how well this school works and how outstanding the pupils are.

If you need to contact me, please send this in writing to St Augustine's Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Conwy Court, Runcorn WA7 2JJ.

Christine Smith               VICE CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

I retired as headteacher of a local Catholic primary school after 40 years of teaching in Runcorn. I was then asked to become a governor of St Augustine's. I have many fond memories of teaching here in the 1980's.  I was delighted to become part of this successful school where polite and confident children thrive in a happy and stimulating environment.

Nina Chwastek              SAFEGUARDING GOVERNOR

I have spent my whole career in education, having recently retired as Headteacher of a large Catholic primary school in Manchester. I bring my expertise in education to my role as a Foundation Governor and I am also the nominated Safeguarding Governor. I am committed to ensuring our children at St. Augustine's have the best chances in life.  This means not only promoting high academic standards but also the personal and social development which give our children the skills to succeed.  I am very proud of the transformational and distinctive opportunities our children enjoy by being part of the St. Augustine’s family.

Nedra Sothern              EX OFFICIO GOVERNOR

(Waiting for information)

Penny Johnson                  STAFF GOVERNOR

I have taught at St Augustine's for 7 years and recently enjoyed the new challenge of becoming SENDCO.  My journey through middle leadership has allowed me to make a substantial change across the school specifically in Mathemathics. It is a pleasure to support staff at governors meetings and to work closely with our governors to ensure St Augustine's continues to be a great school for learning and preparing our children for their future.

Michelle Lewis                   PARENT GOVERNOR

Having attended St Augustine's School as a child I am pleased to be able to take on the role of parent governor while my children attend. Working within the local community for a charity who promotes social justice and having an interest in how peoples socioeconomic factors can impact their life I have a unique perspective of the factors that can affect future progression. Education is a huge part of a child's development and being a parent governor enables me to encourage positive educational, social and emotional development for the pupils of St Augustine's.

Kelly Dowling                     PARENT GOVERNOR

I feel that working as a Teaching Assistant gives me the professional skills that I can bring to the role of parent governor. I combine these with my passion for making a difference to the lives of children and my nurturing nature. I have the inquisitiveness to question and analyse whilst being positive, open and fair. I can promise my commitment to work hard for the good of the school and in this role of parent Governor.
